Designed for sociable holiday living, Malimbu Cliff’s open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen area opens out onto the poolside deck with bi-fold doors that can be easily closed if air-conditioned comfort is preferred. A feature wall is delicately hand painted in a grey and white floral design, while a long teak dining table with a bench seat and six white modular chairs lies within easy access of a galley-style kitchen which is fully equipped with all the latest modern appliances. Guests can pull up a stool at the breakfast bar and watch Ketut at work, or perhaps even exchange a recipe or two.
To the other side of the room a comfortable beige sofa accented with aquamarine and lime green cushions creates a lovely lounge featuring a shag pile carpet, wooden coffee table and pretty butterfly wall mural. A three-seater sofa faces a large flat-screen satellite TV with surround-sound system, great for watching movies.
Children’s playroom
Below the pool terrace and accessed via a spiral staircase, the children’s playroom has awesome ocean views through floor-to-ceiling windows that extend across two sides of the room. This cosy den is equipped with a flat-screen TV and DVD player and furnished with two bench-style sofas. The brightly painted rocking horse is sure to prove popular, as will the soft rug and big floor cushions when it comes to movie time. With its own ensuite and a set of wooden bunk beds, the playroom makes a handy extra bedroom for children or nannies.
